Promoting Your Sellers' Listings with Magic Comments

Magic Comments is one of the easiest ways to drive more visibility—and sales—to your marketplace. While sellers can use it to promote their own listings on Instagram, if you're a marketplace owner, you can also use it to promote your sellers’ listings on your socials. (You can, of course, use it to share your own listings as well!)

Ways to Share Seller Listings with Magic Comments

Once your account is connected to Magic Comments, here’s how you can start promoting seller listings on Instagram:

📱 Via the District App

To share a seller’s listing as a post:

1. Go to Seller Dashboard

2. Tap Market Listings

3. Tap a listing

4. Tap the arrow icon in the top right

5. Tap Instagram to share as a post (you can edit the caption after you post, but do not remove or edit the (claim #) ).

To share a seller’s listing as a Story:

1. Go to Seller Dashboard

2. Tap Market Listings

3. Tap a listing

4. Tap the arrow icon in the top right

5. Tap Code to copy the claim code

6. Open Instagram and start creating your Story

   1. Add an image of the product and paste the claim code somewhere on the Story

   2. The code can be minimized—it doesn’t have to be visible, but it must be present. View examples at the bottom of this guide here.

   3. Add text like: “Reply ‘claim’ to purchase!”

7. Post the story!

💻 Via the Web

To share a seller’s listing from desktop:

1. Go to Seller Dashboard

2. Click the Products tab

3. Click All Products

4. Find the listing, click the three dots to the right

5. Click Copy to Magic Comments to copy the code

6. Share the code via Instagram post or story, just like the steps above
