# Setting up OBS (and Invite Guests to your stream)

You can use bring guests onto your District livestream using a combination of District, OBS, and Virtual Audio Cable. To get started, make sure you have the latest version of OBS downloaded as well as a Virtual Audio Cable (only you need this software—not your guests).

### Software You'll Need

[OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)](https://obsproject.com/)

[Virtual Audio Cable by VB-Audio](https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm?gclid=CjwKCAjwzo2mBhAUEiwAf7wjktz1tLZjCAk6KM-KzCHptVay1YpxMZ5DWGVMTtQYJiMYIcr67txd8BoCcfoQAvD_BwE) (any virtual cable should work)

### Getting Started

Start-up a session of your preferred video conferencing software e.g. Zoom, Discord, Google Meet. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will use Zoom.

Open OBS and in the **Controls** panel, click the **Start Virtual Camera** button to start a virtual camera session.

### **Setting up your Audio**
