# Multicasting to YouTube

With YouTube multicasting, you can connect with your audience on YouTube, interact with them through live chat, and allow them to purchase items directly during the stream, boosting your sales opportunities. Follow the steps below to link your YouTube and start multicasting today.

## Initial YouTube Multicast Set Up

1. In the App, go to your District Profile -> tap 'Social Profiles' -> Link to YouTube
2. Login to your YouTube
3. If properly connected, you should see a green check and your YouTube name in the Social Profiles section.&#x20;
4. Now that you're all connected you can easily cast to YouTube each time you go live. You can turn it on right as you're about to go live via the tower icon in your live screen (more details below). &#x20;

## Multicasting your Live to YouTube

* In order to multicast to YouTube, you must toggle YouTube ON each time you go live.
* **Steps:** when you're ready to go live go to "Your Livestreams" tab&#x20;
  * Tap your scheduled live & tap "Start Live"
  * *Before* you hit "Go Live' tap the tower icon at the bottom of the screen (to the left of the store icon) -> this opens up your socials.
  * To cast to YouTube, toggle on YouTube and then you're good to Go Live! When you hit the 'Go Live' button the live will be casted to your YouTube.

## Additional Requirements from YouTube

District multicasting to YouTube also requires the following YouTube settings, required to go live on Mobile Devices:

* At least 50 subscribers.
* No [live streaming restrictions](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2853834) within the last 90 days on your channel.
* To [verify your channel](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171664).
* To [turn on live streaming](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2474026). You may need to wait 24 hours before you can start your first live stream.
