# Global Community Guidelines

At District, we provide tools to help anyone build their own shopping platform. We aim to support a diverse set of platforms and communities that share common values around trust, safety, and respect. The following guidelines are global standards that we expect all users buying, selling, or building on District to follow.

### What’s Not Allowed

* Illegal or restricted activity or content
* Support of violent, unsafe, or illegal activities
* Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hate speech
* Offensive language in item titles, descriptions, usernames, or chat
* Spam, phishing, or doxxing
* Gambling
* Unsolicited promotions or advertising
* Fraud, impersonation, misinformation, or any deceptive activities

Please see [our policy](https://help.district.net/marketplace-faqs/prohibited-goods-and-services) regarding prohibited goods and services.

### Listings & Livestreams

* Be kind and keep things appropriate—no bullying, targeting, or inappropriate comments
* Provide clear and accurate listing titles and descriptions
* No shill bidding, or bidding on your own items to artificially inflate the price
* The use of illegal substances during livestreams is strictly prohibited
* Issues with your purchase should be filed through District Buyer Protection; chargebacks or disputes filed with credit card providers are prohibited

***

### Chat Channels, DMs & Live Chats

* Keep messages respectful across all channels—that means no spam, phishing, hate speech, threats of violence, or inappropriate content
* Do not share private communications, contact information, or personal details in public spaces without permission
* No solicitation in DMs to pressure users to make purchases, attend livestreams, or join other marketplaces & platforms, including ones powered by District
* Users should obtain explicit consent from District owners to engage in cross-promotional activities in public spaces

***

### Enforcement

We may take actions against users who violate these policies. These actions include warnings, removal of content, restrictions around certain privileges, suspensions, and banning of your account.

***

Individual Districts may have their own established guidelines that shape their community. Please abide by the rules of Districts you join and don’t interfere with others.
