# District Buyer Protection

If your order never ships or your item arrives not as described\*, you’ll receive a full refund. **Just report the issue to District Support within 48 hours of delivery or within 10 days of purchase,** whichever comes first.

You may be asked to return the item. If so, we’ll provide a prepaid shipping label.

For high-value items, additional documentation may be required before a refund is issued.

This coverage doesn’t apply to items picked up in person, or to services or digital goods unless the listing specifically includes Buyer Protection.

If no issue is reported during the protection window, payment is automatically released to the seller. Once that happens, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided.

\*“Not as described” means the item you received is materially different from what was shown or stated by the seller during the listing or livestream. This includes wrong items, missing key parts, major undisclosed damage, or clearly misrepresented condition. Minor cosmetic flaws, typos, or issues visible on screen don’t qualify.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.district.net/marketplace-faqs/district-buyer-protection.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
