# Sales Tax

It's a legal requirement for us to collect state and local sales tax for items purchased in your marketplace that are shipped to certain delivery addresses. District calculates and remits sales tax on your behalf as a seller.

Note: If you have a valid State Sales Tax Exemption Certificate, please reach out to <support@district.net> to process your sales tax exemption on future purchases.

Be sure to include:

* Your District username
* Photo ID
* Proper state sales tax exemption form
