Being a Good Seller

Here are some best practice tips and tricks we advise for folks beginning to sell in a marketplace:

  • Stay on-brand. Post items that fit with your marketplace - check with your community builder to see if there are items that would NOT be the right fit in that particular marketplace

  • Pre-plan livestreams. If you plan to go live, let your community builder know in advance so they can properly promote your stream and sale to the community.

  • Manage inventory. If an item is no longer available, please take a moment to remove it from your active listings. We don't adjust visibility on your behalf.

  • Use Magic Comments. Communities are built on shared interests; others in your sphere will likely want to know about your items and engagement just as much as those already in the community. Take advantage of District's socials tools to spread the community.

  • Ship in a timely manner. Various communities may have differing standards; in general if you clearly specify in your listings any unique shipping methods (stacking, weekly shipping dates, etc) you can create a method that fits both your sales volume and your community standard.
